Who am I? What is a “Math Sherpa?”
A sherpa is a member of a Tibetan ethnic group native to the area
around Nepal. Because of their acclimation to high altitudes, they are
renowned for traveling through the mountains, and they are frequently
used as guides through the mountains.
In modern parlance, a “sherpa” is a guide of any kind. I call myself a Math Sherpa, because I enjoy ranging through the fields of mathematics, and I can be a guide to mathematics, as well.

What can I do?
I can help tutor you with concepts and homework in math classes from middle-school and high-school (I have a preliminary teaching license in Massachusetts). And I can help with college-level math - I have been working as a math tutor at a local community college for nine years.
I can also help with prep for standardized math tests that students take in high school, college, or to get into a program. I’m not sure I can mention those tests by name, but I think you know what I mean.
I can meet students online (Zoom meetings) or in-person in central Massachusetts.
What can't I do?
I can’t help you with your take-home tests or quizzes. I can not take your online test or quiz.
How much does it cost?
I am setting my sessions at $40 per hour. I can be paid by PayPal or Venmo.
Mileage fees for in-person sessions are extra. Message me for details.
